Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders

Generally referred to as FASD, This is the most common, most expensive, yet most preventable of all mental disorders in the industrialized world. FASworld is dedicated to the idea that a woman should not drink alcohol when planning or during pregnancy.

This website endeavours to share current information about FASD, helping parents and other caregivers who are dealing with FASD issues, and providing topical news stories and announcements about conferences and workshops on FASD around the world.

Please let us know about your issues and activities relating to FASD.

Urgent: Go to DSM-V in the Get Involved section on this site and take action.

You may share strategies  and resources with others concerned with FASD issues by signing on to a listserv involving others with interests similar to yours. The Ontario listserv, called FASDO, may be joined by going to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FASDO .

For those in the rest of Canada and abroad, the listserv is called FASDcan and may be joined by going to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/fasdcan.
